Barley thinks about things. Where his brothers charge at something new, he stops about a foot short, has a good look, and then goes in. It takes him about twenty seconds longer than everyone else and it works considerably better.
He is the puppy in that litter I would put with a first-time owner, because he is honest and he is not going to spring anything on you. He does need his time. Rushed or bullied into things he will dig in, and pushing him is the one way to make him harder work than he needs to be.
He is priced lower than his littermates for no reason connected to him. He is a slightly smaller puppy who needed more from us in the first fortnight, and I would rather price honestly than pretend that had no bearing.
