Dark golden is the deepest of the three shades the breed standard names, sitting just short of what people call red. Deep amber and honey, usually with noticeably darker ears, and a coat that looks like a different colour entirely depending on whether the dog is indoors or standing in evening sun.
Dark golden puppies almost always deepen with age. A puppy who looks mid-gold with dark ears at eight weeks will very often be a genuinely deep dog by eighteen months, which is why we tell people not to judge a puppy’s adult colour by its body coat at eight weeks.
As with every other shade on this site: the colour tells you nothing about health or temperament, and it does not affect what a puppy costs here.

A Golden Retriever's coat can only carry one pigment, and every shade from the palest cream to deep mahogany is that single pigment expressed more or less strongly. There is no such thing as a white Golden Retriever, and no such thing as a black one. Colour tells you nothing about health or temperament, and we price a puppy on the individual dog rather than on the shade of its coat.
