Marigold
Marigold Meadows
A devoted mother. Sweet, endlessly attentive, and the heart of every litter she raises.
Our parents
Six dogs, all of them ours, all of them living in the house rather than in a run. If you want to know what a puppy will probably be like at four years old, this is the page to read.
Dams
Dam
Marigold Meadows
A devoted mother. Sweet, endlessly attentive, and the heart of every litter she raises.
Dam
Juniper Wren
Quiet and graceful, with a patient, unbothered temperament that goes straight through to her puppies.
Dam
Clover Belle
Bright and joyful. She is wagging before she is properly awake, and happiest with the whole family in one room.
Sires
Sire
Bramble of Homegrown
The steady one. He does not rush at anybody, he waits to be asked, and he has never once needed telling twice.
Sire
Otto Fields
Our big goofball. He has never met a tennis ball he did not have strong feelings about, and he greets every visitor like a long-lost friend.
Sire
Rye of the Hollow
Soft natured and sensitive. He is the first to curl up next to whoever in the house has had the worst day.
Health
All of our parent dogs are health-checked by our veterinarian and evaluated before any breeding. We breed only healthy, well-tempered dogs from our own line, and we have raised our litters with no known hereditary health problems.
We do not make formal certification claims. We are a family home breeder, not a show kennel, and we are not going to borrow the language of programmes we do not run. What we will tell you is exactly what our vet has seen, on any dog, if you ask.
A dog who is anxious, sharp, or unhappy around people does not go into a litter here, however good everything else about that dog is. Temperament is the most heritable thing we have any control over, and it is the thing you will live with every day for twelve years.
