Light golden sits between cream and the classic mid-gold most people picture when they hear the breed name. It is a warm honey colour, and it is one of the three shades the breed standard actually describes.
It is also the shade that changes the most between eight weeks and eighteen months. Light golden puppies very often carry more colour on the ears than on the body, and the body tends to catch up. If you want to know roughly what a light golden puppy will look like grown, look at the ear feathering rather than the back.
Coat aside, there is nothing to say about a light golden that is not also true of every other Golden. Temperament comes from the parents and from how a puppy is raised in its first eight weeks, and colour has nothing to do with either.

There is no such thing as a white Golden Retriever, and no such thing as a black one.
